Dr. Laura Rehmer is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Des Moines community.
Dr. Rehmer received both her BS degree in Human Biology and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. While at Cleveland, Dr. Rehmer had the privilege of participating in clinical internships at the Cleveland Health Centers in both Overland Park, KS and Kansas City, MO. In addition, Dr. Rehmer was chosen for an internship at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital. She has also gained extensive experience through her work in private practices in Sedalia, MO and Leawood, KS.
Dr. Laura Rehmer believes that the road to true health and a long life begins in childhood. Because of this, Dr. Rehmer is currently pursuing a Fellowship Certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and has earned advanced training in Chiropractic care of pediatric cases and is fully certified in the Webster Technique for perinatal care.
Dr. Rehmer is a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, the American Chiropractic Association, the American Business Women's Association, BNI, the Cambridge Who's Who among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs, the Des Moines West Side Chamber, the Roosevelt Cultural District, and the Praise Choir at her church. In addition, Dr. Rehmer is proud to be involved with the Beacon of Life, a women's shelter located near downtown Des Moines.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Rehmer enjoys taking her Border Collie, Ernie, to the family farm in central Missouri, playing volleyball and being physically active, being outdoors, and being involved in Bible studies and other groups at her church. In addition, Dr. Rehmer is a very proud aunt of two nephews and a beautiful niece, who are also her most precious patients.
As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Rehmer is committed to promoting optimal health and wellbeing of patients.
Dr. Rehmer uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and making whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize normal function.
